terms&conditions

The terms & conditions detailed below apply to all reservations booked via both this website and the Legacy Central Reservations call centre. When you make a booking, your contract will be with the hotel where your reservation is made. Legacy Hotels & Resorts Limited is a management company who act as an agent on behalf of the hotels and Associates. All breaks and rates are offered subject to availability. Promotional rates offered from time to time may have limited availability or be restricted to certain hotels.

Pricing Prices quoted by hotels are based on 2 people sharing a twin or double-bedded room. All prices include either VAT @ 17.5% for all UK mainland hotels, or 3% GST for hotels on Jersey. Prices are subject to change without notice, however, your price is guaranteed once you have received your booking confirmation.

What the price includes Prices for bookings include twin or double bedrooms (single-bedded rooms for single guests where available) with colour TV, tea and coffee making facilities, direct dial telephone and private en-suite bathroom.

Feature Rooms At many Legacy Hotels or Associates, for a supplement you can upgrade your accommodation to a feature room or a suite on a per room per night basis. These rooms may have a spectacular view, extra facilities or a four poster or half tester bed. Please ask for details.

Single Guests Individual guests using a single-bedded room where available at the requested hotel, are charged the standard rate quoted for the single room. When no single rooms are available, or an individual guest requires a double or twin room for single occupancy, the rate quoted and charged will be based on the double or twin room rate, as shown.

Children At all our hotels up to 2 children under the age of 15 years may be accommodated when sharing a room with 2 adults. Availability of suitable rooms is limited and may require the use of portable beds. All children's meals, including breakfast, should be paid for directly with the hotel or resort upon checkout.

Baby Sitting We regret that we are unable to provide a baby-sitting or baby-listening service at any hotel. On occasion, we may be able to provide information for local, registered, babysitting services.

Guests with impaired mobility A number of Legacy & Associate Hotels offer modified facilities for guests with impaired mobility. Whilst not having special facilities, other hotels may have mainly level access to public areas and accessible bathrooms. For further information on the facilities at the hotel where you intend to stay, please call the hotel direct.

Dogs Certain Legacy & Associate Hotels may accommodate dogs, at the general managers' discretion, in some cases for an extra charge. Please call the hotel of your choice for further details.

Car Parking Car parking is free at most Legacy & Associate Hotels for hotel guests, but at some sites there is limited availability and charges may apply. Please call the hotel of your choice direct for more information.

Checking in and Out - We endeavour to make hotel rooms available from 2.00pm on the day of arrival. Rooms must be vacated by 11.00am on the day of departure unless otherwise sanctioned, at the managers discretion. The hotel reserves the right to apply a late checkout charge.

Meal arrangements All breaks which include breakfast offer a full traditional or continental breakfast with tea or coffee. All breaks which include dinner offer a choice from the hotel's Menu of the Day. Where a hotel does not offer a Menu of the Day, an allowance (the amount of which varies from hotel to hotel), is allocated towards dining from the House Menu. There is no refund for meals not taken, or unused allocation. Lunch cannot be taken instead of dinner.

Leisure & Spa facilities Some Legacy & Associate Hotels have leisure or spa facilities, offering free use of standard amenities - the range of which may vary from hotel to hotel. A charge will be made for the use of certain services including solaria, exercise classes, spa treatments or personal training. Under 16's are not permitted to use the gymnasium and must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times when using other facilities. Under 5's are not permitted to use spa pools, saunas, solaria or steam rooms. When booking spa treatments, you will be required to complete a medical questionnaire, by your therapist, immediately prior to the treatment. In some cases, the answers you provide, may limit or prevent your treatment being undertaken. In some cases, treatments may be limited to a single gender, subject to their nature, or the availability of a same gender therapist.

Hotel Rules Each hotel may have specific rules, procedures and policies relating to access to and use of the hotel and facilities at the hotel (such as health and safety, security, smoking and behaviour of guests). You must comply (and ensure that your guests comply) with those rules, procedures and policies and any reasonable requests by the hotel. You are responsible for any acts or omissions of your guests. Please note that all Legacy Hotels operate a 100% smoke-free policy with regards to all, or any reasonable requests by the hotel.

Amendments or cancellations cannot be made online, nor will they be accepted by a simple receipt of an automated delivery email.

Associate Hotels Some of the hotels are operated by third parties and not managed by Legacy Hotels & Resorts Ltd. These hotels are described as “Associate Hotels”. Where this is the case, Legacy Hotels & Resorts Ltd. acts as a booking agent for the associate hotel, and your contract and booking is with the associate hotel and not with Legacy Hotels & Resorts Ltd. Your contract and booking is subject to these terms and conditions unless the associate hotel provides you with any alternative terms and conditions specific to your individual booking.

General Terms We shall not be liable for any third party claims or losses of any nature, including, but not limited to, loss of profits, indirect or consequential loss or loss due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control. However, nothing in these terms and conditions shall limit our liability for death or personal injury, fraud or any liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law.

These terms and conditions contain all the terms and conditions between you and the hotel regarding your booking. No representation, undertaking, warranties or promise shall be taken to have been given or implied, except as set out in these terms and conditions or implied by law. These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights. We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice to you.

Any such contract will be governed by English law and you accept the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. Nothing in these terms and conditions shall give any right or benefit to any person who is not a party to it.
