The Castle Hotel

Llandovery, Carmarthenshire, Wales

Welcome to The Castle Hotel Llandovery Carmarthenshire, in the best traditions of a Welsh coaching inn it has always been a place for travellers and visitors to rest, to replenish and recharge their batteries. It still is today.

The original rustic charm and character is still here at The Castle Hotel Llandovery Carmarthenshire with a few modern, fresh ideas. A warm and friendly place to unwind, you’ll find a proper traditional bar, roaring log fire to toast your toes and plenty of comfy sofas in which to loose yourself with a good book.

The Castle Hotel Llandovery Carmarthenshire’s love of food guarantees some seriously good food by the very talented chefs. Those tempting aromas wafting through the building are likely to be from the Josper Charcoal Oven (a very clever Spanish indoor BBQ and chargrill). It’s a perfect symbol to express the hotels philosophy, ‘Keep it real and simple, make it good and honest’.

Because you’re here to relax completely, the bedrooms promise comfort and style. Think airy & spacious, luxury beds to dream on, flat screen TVs, unfussy but stylish décor and you’ll get the picture.   Each room is individually designed, ranging from a dash of modern to traditional luxury. All you have to do is choose the style which suits you.

    Come dine with us

    THE CASTLE HOTEL Llandovery

Food is The Castle hotels number one priority.

The talented team of chefs have developed the Castles menus to fully embrace the Taste Inn Wales ethos – seasonal, fresh, hearty and tasty. The menus are inspired by tradition, created with imagination to appeal to the most ardent fans of modern British food.

The Castle hotel is a firm believer in relaxed, unpretentious dining, open all year round for lunch and dinner. Everyone is welcome here. The focus is on the food, the atmosphere and making people feel right at home. It goes without saying that all the dishes are made from scratch and cooked to order.

There is a highly motivated, hard working team in a wonderfully spacious kitchen. The hotel believes in offering plenty of choice – Carmarthenshire is the garden of Wales after all. There are also daily chalk boards where fresh fish and shellfish dishes are available.

During the autumn and winter months it also tends to feature local game and some seriously good pies and casseroles. The menu is quintessentially British. The Castle believes in simple, unfussy food and they use the local larder and seasonal produce properly.
