THE BRISTOL DINING ROOM

The Dining Rooms at New Place Hotel are an experience themselves, with ornate high ceilings, wood-panelled walls and intricate artwork, the Bristol room and main dining room lead out to the spacious terrace overlooking New Place’s impressive grounds.

LUTYENS BAR

Named after New Place’s famed architect, Sir Edwin Lutyens, the Lutyens bar in the manor house is the ideal place to soak up the Edwardian grandeur that the building exudes.

Unwind with a drink whilst catching up on the news, chatting with friends or just sit back and watch the world go by. In the Lutyens bar we have a selection of delicious dining options from freshly prepared sandwiches and healthy salads, to quick snacks and more hearty mains.

For wine lovers, you’re in the right place. We love our wines and work with Bibendum to curate a selection of wines from the fruity, easy drinking classics such at the Australian Pinot Grigio to the bold and distinctive Argentinian Catena Malbec.

If you are looking to hire out a larger meeting room for a private dinner, drinks reception, party, we also have The Arden bar which is used solely for private functions. For more information, please contact our sales team on 01329 833543.

AFTERNOON TEA

Introduced to England in 1840 by Anna, the seventh Duchess of Bedford, afternoon tea has become embedded in the British culture. The 3-course meal with tea was traditionally served between 4pm and 5pm, where society women indulged in the opportunity to dress up in ball gowns and congregate in the drawing room. Our manor house is reminiscent of this by-gone era, with its grand and beautiful interior decoration.

Situated in the manor house restaurant or terrace, afternoon tea at New Place is a leisurely affair, in a luxurious setting. Afternoon tea includes a delectable mix of sandwiches, sweet treats and scones with clotted cream and jam, alongside a choice of teas and coffees. Or, add a glass of prosecco or champagne for ultimate indulgence.

“There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea.” – Henry James
